Vacancy Announcement: Assistant Accountant

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payment transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
- Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with precision.
- Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with policies.
- Provide necessary documentation and information during internal and external audits.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Relevant accounting qualification or degree in Finance/Accounting.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years, preferably in Import and Trading sectors.
- At least 2 years of experience in an audit firm.
- Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with Import costing/Stock valuation (advantage).
- Experience with ERP systems or accounting packages.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Fluency in English and Sinhala (Tamil is an advantage).
