Programme Assistant – Fixed-Term Contract (University of Colombo)
About Us:
The Institute of Human Resource Advancement (IHRA), a part of the University of Colombo, offers a range of part-time Masters, Diploma, and Certificate programs. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified individual to join our team as a Programme Assistant on a fixed-term contract basis.
Job Objective:
The Programme Assistant will support the institute’s academic and administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and effective delivery of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of academic programs.
- Provide administrative support to ensure efficient program operations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Support library and information management tasks (preferred).
- Utilize computer applications to enhance program delivery.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- GCE Advanced Level: Passed all three subjects in one sitting (excluding the common general paper).
- GCE Ordinary Level: Passed six subjects in one sitting with credit passes in:
- Sinhala Language/Tamil Language
- English Language/English Literature
- Mathematics
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Studentship or partial/full qualification in Library and Information Science from a recognized institute.
- A recognized qualification in computer applications (minimum six months duration).
Age Limit:
- Applicants must be between 18 and 45 years of age.
Work Schedule:
- The role requires working five days a week, including Saturdays or Sundays.
Monthly Allowance:
- Rs. 26,980/- (basic) + Cost of Living Allowance + Rs. 5,000/- + Rs. 5,000/- (EPF, ETF).
