Key Requirements for Junior First Officer Position
✅ Licensing & Experience:
-
ATPL issued by CAASL
-
Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
-
Minimum 3000 total flying hours (including 500 hours on Turbine/Jet Aircraft)
✅ Educational Qualifications:
-
GCE O/L: 6 passes (including 4 Credits in English, Mathematics, and Physics/Science) in one sitting.

GCE A/L: 2 passes (excluding General English) in one sitting.
(Certification from Sri Lanka’s Department of Examinations required)
OR -
Bachelor’s Degree (recognized by the University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka).
✅ Additional Criteria:

Maximum age: 50 years (as of 31st August 2025)

Sri Lankan citizenship mandatory

Fluency in English & strong IT skills

Excellent interpersonal & teamwork abilities
Training & Career Development
Selected candidates will undergo training at SriLankan Airlines’ Approved Training Organization (ATO). The training cost will be recovered through salary deductions over an agreed period, with a bonding agreement to the airline.
