Position Requirements

Educational & Experience Pathways

• Option 1:

  • Bachelor’s in Journalism/Mass Communication + 2+ years experience

• Option 2:

  • Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication + 5+ years experience

• Option 3:

  • GCE A/L (any stream) + 8+ years journalism experience

Essential Skills

✔ Language Proficiency:

• Strong news writing/rewriting skills

• Working knowledge of Sinhala & English (advantage)
  ✔ Industry Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of local/global current affairs

• Prior experience in reputed newspaper companies
  ✔ Technical Skills:

• MS Office proficiency

General Criteria

• Age Limit: Below 40 years
