Vacancies at National Youth Corps (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports)

Applications are invited for the following posts at the National Youth Corps:

1. Assistant Director (Training) (MM 1-1)

Post Type: Permanent
Entitlements: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Employees Trust Fund (ETF)

Eligibility Criteria:

External Applicants:

• A degree recognized by the University Grants Commission in one of the following fields:
  • Business Administration (Special)
  • Human Resources Management
  • B.Sc. Management (Public) Special
  • B.Com (Special or General)
  • L.L.B.
  • Labour Education
  • Business Management (Human Resources) Special
  • BA (Hons)
• Experience: At least 2 years in the training field after obtaining the degree.

Internal Applicants:

• Fulfill the qualifications for external applicants OR
• At least 5 years of satisfactory service in a relevant Junior Management Service Category.

Age:

• Between 22 and 45 years.
• Maximum age limit does not apply to internal applicants.

Salary Scale:

• Rs. 53,175 – 10 x 1,375 – 15 x 1,910 = Rs. 95,575
• Government-approved allowances in addition to the above.

2. Assistant Director (Provinces) (MM 1-1)

Provinces: Western Province, Sabaragamuwa Province
Post Type: Contractual (maximum of 3 years)
Entitlements: EPF and ETF

Eligibility Criteria:

• Option 1: At least 3 years as a Major in the Sri Lanka Army or an equivalent position in the Sri Lanka Air Force/Navy with a General Degree.
• Option 2: At least 5 years as a Lieutenant Colonel or equivalent in the Sri Lanka Air Force/Navy.
• Option 3: 5 years in the recruiting grade of an all-island service.

Age:

• Not exceeding 50 years.
• For released/discharged servicemen, the Establishment Code 17.1 (a) applies.

Salary Scale:

• Rs. 53,175 (standard monthly stipend).
• Pensioners will receive only half the Cost of Living Allowance.

Duties:

• Supervise staff and trainees across all centers in the provinces.
• Ensure discipline and welfare of staff and trainees.
• Oversee recruitment/enrollment of trainees and organize end events.
• Coordinate with headquarters and ensure property safety.
