Accountant – Reporting at Cargills (Ceylon) PLC

Job Role:
- Prepare Group Consolidated Financial Statements for internal and external purposes, including detailed financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements compliant with SUFRS.
- Enhance efficiencies in the consolidation process.
- Support the quarterly earnings release process.
- Oversee account closing timelines, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for Executive Leadership and Board Members.
- Conduct analytical reviews of financials for management.
- Coordinate with External Auditors for reviews and audits.
- Align accounting policies across business units for consistency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement improvements.
- Participate in the preparation of feasibility reports for special projects.
Candidate Requirements:
- Passionate about Sri Lanka and committed to positively impacting the nation.
- Fully qualified or a passed finalist in ICASL/ACCA and/or possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting from a recognized university.
- 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- Age below 30 years.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office.
