Job Profile

As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will:

Plan and organize work in the clinical laboratory, managing automated laboratory machines and equipment.
Perform clinical validation, checking abnormal results identified by automated analyzers, and determining if further tests are necessary.
Identify and resolve causes of poor analytical performance.
Provide accurate information to meet customer requirements.
Attend to customer needs and handle laboratory PR operations.
Address and resolve complaints from consultants, GPs, and patients.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should possess:

Educational Qualifications:
- A B.Sc. Degree in Biological Science with Biochemistry as a subject from a recognized university OR
- A Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized university/institute.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a Trainee MLT or MLT in a reputed laboratory.
Preferred Qualification: Registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) is an advantage.
