Vacancy Announcement: Credit Officers

Public Bank Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading commercial banks with over 30 years of operations in Sri Lanka, is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to join their team as Credit Officers.
Responsibilities:
- Loan Processing:
- Process and prepare loan proposals for new and existing retail and corporate borrowers in line with the Bank’s credit policies.
- Credit Analysis:
- Collect and analyze borrowers’ financial data to assess repayment capacity.
- Evaluate market and sector conditions to determine the viability of proposals, identifying risks and mitigations.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s credit policies, applicable laws, and regulatory guidelines, particularly from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare timely and accurate reports for regulatory authorities, including the Central Bank, Credit Information Bureau, and the Bank’s Head Office.
- Draft letters of offer and coordinate the completion of security documentation for approved facilities.
- Follow-Up & Collections:
- Monitor collections and recoveries for all loans and advances.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of banking experience, with at least 2–3 years in credit processing.
- Educational Qualifications:
- Degree or professional qualifications in Banking, Marketing, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in English.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Computer literacy is essential.
