Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) is seeking highly skilled and experienced engineers for its Trincomalee Tank Farm Development Project. Applications are invited from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following contract-based positions. Available Positions and Salary
- Chemical & Process Engineer – Rs. 350,000 (including all allowances)
- Mechanical Engineer – Rs. 350,000 (including all allowances)
- Electrical & Electronics Engineer – Rs. 350,000 (including all allowances)
- Civil Engineer – Rs. 350,000 (including all allowances)
Contract Duration: 01 YearAge Limit: Maximum 45 years (as of the application closing date). Note: Government employees are exempt from the age limit.
Key Qualifications
- A BSc Engineering Degree in the relevant field from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
- Minimum 03 years of post-qualification experience in development projects at recognized organizations.
- Preferred Qualifications: Chartered, Postgraduate, or Professional Certifications (e.g., PMP, AWS, CSWIP, API).
Job Descriptions
1. Chemical & Process Engineer
- Lead process design for tank farm storage systems, including tank layout, piping, and pumping systems.
- Develop P&IDs, material balance, and process flow diagrams using tools like AutoCAD Plant 3D, Aspen, and Visio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, civil) to integrate process designs.
- Conduct HAZOP studies, prepare SOPs, and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Mechanical Engineer
- Execute tank repair and pipeline works under the Trincomalee Tank Farm Development Project.
- Design and verify engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with ASME and API codes.
- Perform 3D modeling using SolidWorks, Cadworx, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Monitor project progress, liaise with contractors, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks, including hydrostatic and pressure testing.
3. Electrical & Electronics Engineer
- Plan, design, and oversee the installation of electrical systems, control panels, SCADA, and PLC systems.
- Supervise on-site electrical and instrumentation activities, ensuring compliance with NFPA, IEC, and NEC standards.
- Inspect, test, and commission electrical installations, troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
4. Civil Engineer
- Oversee site preparation, including soil testing, grading, drainage, and foundation design.
- Develop and verify engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Supervise civil construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate civil structures with piping, electrical, and storage requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols for construction activities.
Fringe Benefits
- EPF Contribution: 12% by the project, 8% by the employee.
- ETF Contribution: 3% by the Corporation.
- Note: This is a contractual appointment and does not guarantee permanent employment with CPC.
