About the Role

As an Application Security Intern, you will support the Application Security Team in identifying and mitigating security risks in software applications. This internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment, allowing you to build a strong foundation in application security.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in security assessments, including:
  • Static Application Security Testing (SAST)
  • Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
  • Code reviews, penetration testing, and security architecture evaluations
• Participate in threat modeling to identify and assess application risks.
• Perform vulnerability scans using tools and generate detailed reports.
• Document vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze application architectures and identify risks.
• Research emerging security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support developers in adopting secure coding practices.
• Contribute to the Security Champion Program and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of web application architectures, APIs, and databases.
• Familiarity with common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and their remediation.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
